I've noticed that the bracelet of my Remora 2 is to slim for the lugs. The bracelet measures just 21.60 mm. Has anyone the same problem? Steve what can we do ? Last edited on Sat Nov 19th, 2011 07:44 am by exc-hulk |

well it certainly makes it easier for strap changes. I hadn't noticed on mine and I have the leather on now, so I will put it on the steel later today and check it out. Maybe I just didn't think it was a problem and just didn't notice. I will check the others as well and see if there is different tolerances. We did have the factory cut the notches in the backs of the steel bracelet so that if you used this bracelet on a different watch like a Seiko 007 that does not have drilled lugs then the bracelet would not get stuck on that other watch. Maybe there was some steel shaved off when they had to modify the backs or the end links. This adjustment to the end links is what caused the delay in the Remora production and was done to the bracelets after they were finished. Also it should be noted that I have shipped about 50 Remoras and this is the first I have heard a complaint about the .4 mm gap, if in fact others have a gap as well. At this point I do not think this is a problem to call it a defect.

hmmmm...I had to take a look at my Remoras and other hidden lug watches I own using straight end bracelets, and they all seem to have the same side to side play,so I would have to think that this is some sort of design element rather than a flaw...

Steve, this should be no complaint. I felt it as something unusual. None of my watches has such a big side to side play. Hence my question.

I had my Remora 2 adjusted to my wrist at a jewelery store and it has been fine. No slippage, bracelet flush to the lugs. Great, comfortable fit.

It can't be tight like a solid end link or it will not move or rotate like it needs to, but yes maybe .1 mm would look nicer. Ralf will check the technical drawing and see what the factory had on the cad work.
