Hey there Steve,
I know that the Ti Meg 4s and the Meg 500s were just released a few weeks ago (and I love my 2 new versions...can't seem to take off my Meg 500), however, I was wondering if for a future series - maybe a Bronze Meg 5 would be possible?  I would really like to see a Bronze Meg w/a ceramic green, brown or maybe tan dial options and...sort of a subdued military look.  JM2C (Just My 2 Cents)...What about other suggestions from other 3T members who happen to also be Meg fans?

Thanks and Have a good one.  As always, Happy Collecting All.

Kindly,
-T-

I believe that a bronze case and a SS case would weigh very similarly...nonetheless, bronze would make for a terrific looking Meg.  Have a good one and Happy Collecting All.

A bronze Meg would be nice.....and very heavy.

How about a PVD version with a full lume face?

Very cool idea!  A full lume dial on a PVD Meg would most likely be a winner.  Gr8 input "BlueViper".  Have a good one and Happy Collecting All.

I would definitely dig a "Phantom" Meg.  Gr8 idea and example pic, "touchscreenmagic".  Hopefully, Steve and Ralf will make one of these ideas a reality in the near future as the Meg line has so much potential.

Remember Steve's "BloodyWater" Meg edition idea (his pic)?  Hopefully, Ralf is able to source some colored sapphires as this will also be a cool mod.

Have a good one and Happy Collecting All.

Check it out, I put together a quick mockup to see what a bronze meg might look like, looks great in my opinion:

Excellent example of what I was thinking of "touchscreenmagic" for a Bronze Meg...sort of looks like a watch form of a diver's helmet.  Thanks for the pic.  Have a good one and as always, Happy Collecting.

Well, given the fact that CuSn8 Bronze has a density of 8800 kg/m^3 and 316L Stainless Steel has a density of 8000 kg/m^3, the parts that are Bronze will increase in weight by 10% (which would be the CASE Only IMO, since I don't see manufactures trying to tackle a Bronze bracelet which would make the owners wrist quite black during daily wear IMO).  The other components...caseback, crown, valve could be Ti for instance while the movement, dial, and hands would be the same.   So the weight of the watch head, not including the bracelet wouldn't go up by much (maybe 5% or so), and you could offset that weight a bit with a Ti caseback, valve, and crown so the overall increase in weight would not be much IMO.

I think it would be realistic to do a Bronze Megalodon without a bracelet, and offer it with a leather and rubber strap.

The Mega case in CuSn8 Bronze would look spectacular too!wowzer.gif

yes this is true, you will never see a bronze bracelet. The head piece with the fitted rubber would be interesting, and something we can think about, but we have the bronze Moray going into production at the moment, and the steel Moray, we also have a new steel watch coming out this year that no one has seen yet, and we have plenty of inventory of titanium Megalodons and Meg 500 at the moment. so the bronze Megalodon will need to wait a bit.

This does look good. Maybe a gold edition so my dad would wear one of my watches! a Diamond in the bezel pip, set on its side!
