Here's mine in it's fresh bronze state. You know me though...I probably won't be able to last the entire holiday weekend without tinkering with the patina.

Props to Steve and Ralf for a spectacular piece!!!happy guy.gif

Here's mine! I'll most likely let it patina naturally. It should be interesting to see how much this will have changed compared to when my recalled blue Bronzmo returns. The new buckle and raised pip on the bezel are outstanding. Another exceptional offering from Steve and Ralf.

Thank You 92degrees! thankyou.gif

I used the liver of sulfur gel as I've heard that the egg treatment doesn't work so well on the CuSn8 Bronze.

It's definitely a bit of an arts & crafts experiment...I brushed mine back to the fresh metal more than a few times only to start over again (the end result seems to depend quite a bit on the solution concentration, solution temperature, and exposure time which for me was a matter of seconds). Solution temperatures should be in the 130-140°F area and your exposure times will be really short at that temperature...(10 seconds or less in my case...if you go too long, you will know it...tones go to purple/black IMO). If you don't get the solution temperatures hot, the patina will not be long lasting or durable at all, as you won't get good bonding with the metal IMO.

I will definitely say that this true CuSn8 is absolutely gorgeous and the patina develops quite quickly on its own...I live in a very dry climate so I went for the kick start.

Hope that helps!
