it would have been a hard choice between a Mag or Olivier brass,so I decided on a true bronze watch instead!dog smile.gif

I'm still kicking myself for not getting a green dialed 47mm when I had the chance. I really like my black, but every time I see green now I'm pretty sure I made the wrong choice.

I'd consider "trading down" to a 44mm in green, but 44 is a bit too small for me in a cushion case. The 47 is the perfect size. Sigh...

This Chinese bronze might be the...
Arsenical brass: Contains an addition of arsenic and frequently aluminium and is used for boiler fireboxes.

Steve has set aside a black dialed bronze for me but all these beautiful pics with patina of green and brown dialed ones are confusing the hell out of me. whichone.gif

The one thing I'm 100% sure of is that I'm getting the right watch in the right bronze material.

All the latest Moray Bronzes are sold out now, does anyone know how many of each version were built?

Hopefully I will be able to fulfill your request very soon but first let me tell you a story of just how good Steve is to deal with and the kind of CS these guys are prepared to offer.

It all started with my interest in owning a bronze watch, originally I fancied the Lumtec M53 but as it continued to get delayed I started looking else where and stumbled on Benarus. The watch was a present to myself but as my birthday wasn't until late June and it was late March I didn't want to buy the watch right there and then as I knew I couldn't resist wanting to wear it so I asked Steve if I could pay a deposit to hold the watch till nearer the time because I knew they were a limited run and would sell out quickly. I was amazed that he offered to hold me the watch without any deposit, he didn't know me and neither had he any prior dealings with me, frankly this is the kind of customer service you only read about but never experience for yourself.

Well true to he's word the last black dial Moray Bronze is speeding across the Atlantic as I write this and I will have my birthday present soon.

Thanks Benarus and especially Steve Laughlin for being a true gentleman.
