Greetings, 3T-er's! Just joined several watch forums (including here), after being away from the collecting scene for a couple of years.

In the past, I've collected Omega (Dynamic Chrono), Seiko (mostly diver, with two pieces customized by IWW), Citizen (also divers). Most of my past collection were automatics.

Anyway, after a few years of that, and feeling disappointed that I couldn't afford more expensive pieces, I turned away from collecting and sold off everything but my Seiko SKXA35 Yellow Diver.

Just last month, I discovered the Watchadoo bracelet on e-Boy. I ordered one for the SKXA35, and I got drawn in again.

This time, with better knowledge of the affordable watch market, I intend to devote my colllecting to very inexpensive brands and models. To this end, along with my Watchadoo adorned yellow diver, I have an Invicta 9110 and a Bernhardt Sea Shark in gray heading over to me.

With the economy in a tailspin, living in expensive Hawaii state, having two young girls to raise, starting up watch collecting isn't the smartest thing I could have ever done, yet, once a WIS, always a WIS.

I have worked it out with my family's Finance Minister (wife), I will hold purchases to $500 per year (or a $250 piece every six months). I will build a collection of five pieces, and hold to that number until finances get more comfortable. Once I see that sixth piece, I gotta let one go. This was my idea - approved by the "Minister," so don't think she's the bad guy here.

Anyway, this has gone on long enough. I really enjoy 3T, and I hope to stop lurking so much and begin participation!

Thanks for reading this far!

Yes...I believe I've noticed that regular members here take pride in "enabling" other WIS to succumb to the Dark Side. I shall be aware, yet co-dependent on all of you.

I forsee great conflict...bring it on!

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome to 3T and welcome back to the madness. There are a great many affordable watches out there now that hold their own well with some watches 2, 3 and 4 times the value so no problem their. I have been accused of being a enabler and will state clearly now. :) You betcha. LOL :D

Glad to have someone from the Island with us. Dive in the watches are fine. ;)

Thank you, all!

I feel quite welcome here - like I've returned home, somehow.

Welcome Indeed!  I am a tried and true cheap skate when it comes to watches, so I feel ya!  It is alot of fun to undertake the challenge of keeping it down; anticipation is alot of the fun as well!  Great to have you on board, enjoy!

Got my first pics up of my only piece on a new Watchadoo bracelet on the Straps and Watch Accessories category. I'm still waiting on my Invicta Diver and Bernhardt Sea Shark.

My money says he is up to five by the end of the year if these guys have anything to say about it. I started out last summer with two, thats right TWO, watches. Now not even a year later Ive got 20 or 21 (I can't remember) sitting in the safe at home and 4 on the way next week (so much for saving my stimulus check)! Run and get out while you still can!

Welcome to 3T, glad to have you around.party.gif
