I have two 40mm samples here from Jeff the Watchdude. One has a flat sapphire, the other has the high domed acrylic. I am much more drawn to the domed acrylic, it is mesmerizing to look at. It is very clear and clean and doesn't show fingerprints as easily as sapphire. If it gets scratched it can be easily polished with polywatch.

Here are some photos of the samples:

Im really liking these. I love it in a 42mm case. I love the domed crystal. Have you considered a no crown guard version?

I just ordered a military black leather Bund strap for this domed sample. I use to have a Bund a few years ago and it was very comfortable, but all my watches were a bit large to wear with it. I think this 40mm will be a good size on the Bund pad.

Steve, any chance you'd consider a limited run in 44mm, at least?

I too like the 40 for such a classic even though I usually wear larger watches. I may just get one of the 40mm for now :)

quote from me, above... "The vintage series that Ralf and I will produce will be bumped up to 42mm"

I have been wearing the 40mm all day on my Marathon Gsar rubber strap. It is comfortable, but I think 42mm will be a great size and not too big, but just a bit larger than this one and still classic... my wife even commented at dinner tonight... "that watch you have on looks like a ladies watch" maybe she was just hinting that I should give it to her.
