You are correct.

However, as the most I have ever spent on a watch (to date) is the $200 I paid for my Monster, and before that the $100 I paid for my solar G-shock, to me $399 is a lot of clams.

I am still learning all the lingo, technology, etc.

Knives, those I know. Why various companies make a better product. Why hand-made is usually better when compared to factory products. And on and on. I do not have the same tech savvy with the watches. So far, my choices have been based on a certain desire (such as a solar or automatic) or appearance.
