My apologies to Ken, that I didn't know he was in an
Infantry Battalion in Nam. Over the years, I heard my
father wished that he had served in Vietnam in the
1960's on the side of the U.S.

Looking back on it, I am glad that he didn't and even if he
did serve. I would have had to live with the first few years
of public backlash of an unpopular war.


I would still gave him "Thanks" because he fought for
a cause that he believed in. Even though,Secr. of State
MacNamara admitted that he lied to Pres. Johnson over
the affairs in Vietnam.

Of course, that was many years ago and a lot has
changed...from someone who is old enough to remember
the Fall of Saigon,in 1975.

To all my American Friends who served their country...
