I think having a model that has shifted away from the comfortable normal features is cool, for me anyway, I have a few tool watches and am excited for this to be a break away... this statement is still about the dial design, I am ok either way wit a date window.

but my Marathon Government Search and Rescue (GSAR) is the ultimate "tool" watch, and it DOES have a date window.

I think that is kind of my point Steve...most traditional watches will have a date window....and I agree with you 100% that this will be a "cool" watch, a little out side the box of what we normally feel as "comfortable" ...whatever the final dial design is it will be "unique" and "cool", again IMO I think the date window kind of takes away from that.
