I remember the Fuegos, they were about the last renaults to get to the US and were made in France.I had a Renault 18 which was the platform car for the fuego, it was a 1984, Mexican made when I still lived in Mexico. It was a tremendous car with a 2.0 liter engine...excellent confort and plush suspension but it was too antiquater...still carburated required visits to the mechanic for tune-up frequently.
The lotus, I think originally it had the same engine as the Isuzu Mark-I that I also had. I think mine was a 1600 cc DOHC injected...excellent car but warped the head once and was fixed under warranty. I sold it when it was about 100,000 miles and was still in perfect shape...temptation for a 1001 Saturn.
