Ah Gordini's are not so easy to find in Australia and yes I totally agree with you on the Weber carburettor.  Difficult to adjust, especially when temperatures can be 30 - 40 degs C in summer, and then 0 - 15 degs C in winter.  Always have to make adjustments to jetting and mixture.  But once you get the hang of it and remember the settings you are good to go.  I had a larger port Weber so the "sucking" sound when under open throttle was addictive!

If I am not mistaken, the Lotus Elise is now using the same VVTI powerplant as the Toyota MR?  Chassis is made by Proton Malaysia.
