True story... I manage a property in downtown Chicago. Across the hall from me, a tenant moved out after the CEO passed away. She was the lone employee and said that anything left behind could be taken. There was crap everywhere, mostly completely useless. Buried in an armoire, I found a bottle of Ballantine 30 Year Blended Scotch. I did some research and found that the latest it was blended was 1955, meaning the latest it had been bottled was 1985. My wife (then fiancee) and I wondered what we would celebrate with on our wedding day (after our wine toast). the taste was unbelievable. Considered one of the best blends made, ever, from what I have read. Well, to top off this story, I found out that the bottle was worth $800! And lo and behold, behind the pile of books in the back of the armoire was a 2nd bottle. It's in my liquor cabinet, waiting.
