My comparisons were vs the usual 007 and 009 and similar others though and I like your points. I'm now grappling whether to send this for some modding and get the Rally bezel on it, like Exc-Hulk's mod. But I might as well get the 007 for that and keep this little one in the drawer.
William (Sheriff), yes, this 7S26-0020 isn't made in Japan. They're now made in China, Malaysia etc. But I have lots of friends with watches on 7S26 and they're just so reliable and tough....maybe not very accurate but for those prices, well worth the effort. My sister in law in Texas bought a simple Seiko 5 Sports in Asia in 2000 and didn't even know how to care for it. She's raised 5 boys, taken it to the pool, boating, fishing, snorkelling etc etc and to this day the watch is still beating quite accurately. I was amazed with her stories about her watch.
