Let me share a little inside info about my experience with a non date version. We had a few produced with the Remora 1 (myiota 9015) and the 1st bronze Moray (ETA 2824). When I handled the non-date versions I did not like how it felt. The factory removed the gear and date wheel for whatever reason on those watches and it did not feel right when you pulled the crown out in the 1st position, and then going into time setting position also felt strange. I had to send 1 of the bronze moray "Top Grade 2824" back to the factory because the crown wouldn't sit in the time setting position.

Ralf and I discussed the idea of producing some non date versions of this watch, I said we need to leave the date gear and the date wheel in place and just use a dial with no date window, but for whatever reason the factory will not produce them this way, I am not a technical expert on why they need to remove it, but in the end Ralf and I decided that the date is in a well designed place that looks like the 3:00 hour mark and I do not want half the watches to have technical problems due to modifying the movements.
