I'll have to look for this Hakushu Single Malt Jeff. I'll admit I've not tried any of the Japanese single malts yet (I was planning to pick up a new Japanese Single Malt from "Nikka" that my local shop just brought in).

Like I said, I'll have to look for this one, and if they don't carry it, they can probably order it in for me...if they can get it through their distribution channel, they will...That's how I got the Penderyn that Will turned me onto (into the second bottle of that one).

Interesting that you list Lagavulin, Bruchladdich, and Laphroaig for comparisons to this one...Those brands tend to bring some big peat and smoke to the party (especially the L distillery's)...and Bruchladdich definitely has both spectrums (peat and non-peat) depending on which of the many choices you choose from that great distillery.
