I always ask the guests if they want their patty with cheese (which I'll then add about a minute before serving, directly on the grill) or not. If not, I put a hint of salt on it. Other spices are a taboo. I buy the ground beef at one particular butcher who grinds it from cuts of my choice right before my eyes, so the taste of the pure and sheer beef should not be diluted IMHO (and my guests say the same)time2.giftime2.giftime2.gif
