Yea most of the time the small ships do have the better food. The guys on Subs have it best.  But I was on the fleet flag ship. (CVN-65) They made a point to have better food with all the big wigs that would come aboard. ;)

I can't tell you how often I enjoyed steak and lobster in the Indian Ocean. Officers flying in Pizza Hut goodies and oh the list goes on. :cool:

When I was a E3 I did a 90 day TAD to the Chiefs Mess, man they often had it better than the Officers. :)
