Unless you are planning on this being an heirloom or something, I wouldn't worry that much about it. Or, I suppose if it were your daily wearer and you were hard on your watch... But, otherwise it should suit most 3T members quite nicely. The center links are satin finished and not polished. That is a plus. The bezel is of course polished and might get scratched if you aren't careful. With me, I don't tend to scratch my bezels. I have had a 9938A Two-Tone Invicta now for about nine months that I bought second hand from Hamilton. It shows no sign of any gold coming off or fading. Nothing.

Considering the price and the overall quality of this particular model, it is a pretty darn nice watch. And, a bargain at that. The only thing I miss is the feel of the original one's bezel.
