Ventura watch has announced that it is throwing in the towel only 2 years after being purchased by a group of private equity investors.  After there purchase of Ventura they made the forward thinking decision to only sell high end Quartz watches.  They may have needed to look at the sales percentages of other brands high end quartz watches, to automatics before making such a decision.

I have a better idea maybe they should have been taught that as any civilization becomes more high tech it also becomes more high touch, and a premium is paid to industries that bring that feeling back to it.

I've seen mention that some people are snapping them up when they come online for sale because of it...  I have an older Ventura, too small for me, but my son wears it every now and then...  chrono v-tronic... nice watch... ;)

That's too bad.  I liked quite a few of thier designs, including some of the digitals.
