Almost just missed getting my Sea Viper in hand today due to real life but after a brief jog after the truck Orange #4 was in hand! Without a doubt this is a watch well worth the wait and one to be much coveted by those on the fence. This is a winner and I am certain Berg will enjoy a well deserved sell out! ![]() Unlike some of the first posters here I'm not going to describe the watch ad nauseum and call it a review. I'll tell you what I know and then keep it simple and let the pictures do the talkin'! ![]() Suffice it to say this is a sold well finished watch with an undeniable Orsa look and feel. Modern yet familiar; heavy duty with a touch of elegance. I'm happy the Sea Viper arrived on such a beefy bracelet and impressed with the flawless fit on the solid end links. One point I just love is the small protrusion of the end link beyond the lugs. For some this might seem a nit but as an avowed watch fondler this is a sweet spot to run my fingers over. The valve stem crown is a smooth operator, bezel operation is precise with no play. All the little details sometimes lacking are finished superbly imho. And you can't beat the look of this watch. High contrast and eye catching, the dial/bezel combo are simply stunning. Enough talking and on to some pix. The sun didn't wanna show and you'll have to excuse the schmutz I got on the bezel but you get the idea. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for having a look! ![]()

Awesome pics of the Orange Dial Mark...![]() You know...I was one of the ones that commented on the "protrusion points" on the nicely done solid end links (as a bit of a nit in my blue arrival post), but as I was wearing the watch all day while we were out with the family running around...one thing that occurred to me was the design of those end link protrusions seem to mirror the design of the 5 minute marker protrusions on the dial markers (especially when viewed from straight above). Anyway...don't know if I'm reading too much into it, but would love to chat with Martin as to if that is what he had in mind with the design because IMO it is a bit distinctive, different, and unique. But I agree with your comments on this wonderful new ORSA piece 100%...high contrast and very eye catching...an ORSA through and through...my wife even commented on it today when we were out on a long walk with our two dogs...she really liked the overall look! ![]() Last edited on Sat May 22nd, 2010 08:57 pm by stew77 |
