Hi,

I just wanted to share my latest impressions of my newest acquisition, the Kazimon Eintausend.

Meeting Kazim in Maastricht at the watch show last november, I was allowed to put the Eintausend onto my wrist for the first time. What can I say…I was hooked the first minute. That chunky piece of german steel was made for me! Well, as other commitments did not allow me to buy the watch in an instant, I promised Kazim that he will get my order in late january. To cut a long story short: calling on the 30st of january 4.30pm, obtaining the tracking number at 5.30pm (and it has been a long conversation), receiving the watch on the 31st of january at 8.15am, having the watch glued on my wrist since saturday 8.30am :)!

So why I am so excited and convinced about this watch? There are 3 reasons why I have decided to go for the Kazimon Eintausend: 1.) Quality, 2.) Design, 3.) Kazim Kenzo. Let me explain:
1.) The finish of the case, the bezel, the glass and the bracelet are of such a high quality, that it is a delight to feel and examine the watch. The whole thing is so well put together that it forms an entity as if the watch was made out of one steel block. The bezel clicks where it supposed to, the glass feels like bulletproof and there is no rattle from the bracelet at all. 100 points from my side Kazim hand6.gif.
2.) You may argue that one can find similar quality in other watches at the same price level (and higher of course ;)). True, but what made the Eintausend special for me was its' design. In my completely subjective opinion, there is a rapport between the components, which other brands are lacking. Especially the dial has taken a shine to me. The combination of colours, positioning of the date window and the indices, the shape of the hands, the lettering, all this looks coherent to me.

3.)  Buying one of the big brands from an authorized dealer can be a nice experience (but this is unfortunately not always the case), however the direct link to the manufacturer is missing. At best you may be able to talk to their marketing or workshop department, if you are lucky. I have gained a lot of insight into the brand Kazimon by actually being able to talk to the maker himself. It has been a real pleasure to talk to Kazim several times, let it be in person or over the phone. All my questions were answered thruthfully and competent. There was no sales person talking to me but a true WIS! This has created a lot of trust on my side.

Sorry, if I may show a little bit too much of enthusiasm about my latest timekeeper, but I truly believe that such a good product deserves some more recognition (actually something that is not missed too much over here on 3T), so people may take the brand into consideration the next time they are shopping around!

OK, enough said, you may want to see some pictures:

all the best

Jan

Great photos JHM.  The Eintausend is one I truly regret letting get away; seeing your pictures only reaffirms what a terrific watch it is, including the top notch packaging.  Hopefully I'll be able to get another one in 2009.  Until then, enjoy, and wear in good health!!
