Really, none of us should be afraid to size any bracelet. Just make sure you don't drop any parts on a carpet.

I don't understand...

I've got a Monster on the way.  I've never resized a bracelet before.

So, the issue with the link collars - is the issue that the link collars should remain inside the link?  Reading the link, I'm not certain.  It sounds like the "pusher" needs to be of a diameter smaller than the link collar so as to not push it out with the link pin.  Is that correct?

From my recollection, my "pusher" was smaller than the collar. What happened then is that the collar ended up on my pusher, which I was very easily able to remove. The pin w/ the other collar came out the bottom of the link, as it should have. I very gently pinched the loose collar, to tighten it up slightly, as it had been stretched just a bit. I reinserted the pin back into the link, then pushed the end of the collar onto the bare end of the pin. Using gentle pressure and a "pusher" slightly larger this time, I was able to shove the collar back onto the pin, inside the link.

That all made sense as I was typing it out, hope it came out that way :) far easier to visualize once you have the bracelet in front of you. Just remember that the collar will more than likely end up riding up onto your pusher, so you might think you lost it. And DON"T do this anywhere w/ carpet, especially your first time attempting it, as you WILL lose 1 (I lost 2 :D my first attempt).

Hope this helps, good luck!

David

Thanks, David.  That's what I was THINKING that whole thing meant, but I wasn't sure.  Now if the slow boat from Singapore would just arrive, I'd be a happy camper! :D

Great link! Easily paced me through sizing my first Orange Monster! Great little Seiko, not as nice as the recommendation you folks gave me for my 9G-600, but did not expect as much. Great quality for a supper price. Again, many thanks again for this excellent reference!!
Cheers, Mike :D
