What I see is, I'm pretty sure, from more modern times, but with a nod to the past in design. Iraq has in modern times, had some really gifted and visionary architects. I know this because I saw a special on the History Channel about it:D.

The media would have you believe we have to do everything and that the Iraqi's do nothing. They aern't up to our standards professionally, but they exist as a fighting force.I dont know if people forget history or they just dont know it but, look how long it  to us to get a president from the signing of the Declaration of Independance till Washington was elected.  It was 12 years.  Also after we won the war we had growing pains like Shae's Rebellion. I think more people were killed after the war was won than during the actual war.  We also had a rag tag military during and after the Revolutionary War. The Brits were well trained and outnumbered us but our men were fighting for a cause... Freedom.   Our Military didnt really come of age untill WW2 and we realized we were a global player.  The spirit of our founders yearning for freedom  is still enstilled in our men and women in our military and that is why we have the best in the world.

Hey Scott, don't forget the role the French played in our independance...my how times have changed!goofy
