I missed out on the accturon 7750 steal recently and I figured every collection needs at least 1 valjoux 7750... At $600 I figured... why not.

Funny in my initial watch pursuit back in 1985, I was all about the 7750. Must have bought quite few watches back then with this movt.  I dawned on me that I have not had a valjoux in over 10yrs and that was the Seamaster chrono pro which back then I picked up for $1900 through a buddy who happensed to be an autorized Omega dealer. I have gone through at least 8 Valjoux 7750s  and really miss that trademark wobble.

Will review and post pix uopn arrival.

Good deal Eric. Scored it for a good third the value of list. And I've heard good things about Philip watches. Not real big here in the US but I guess they're popular in Europe. But none the less a steal of a price buddy. Congrats. ;)

Oh my I fear I'll see diverbob unloading this in no time. :D I hope it sticks because its very nice looking. Just have to give you a hard time Eric!! You never did flip the Sammi and instead modded it sweetly so I had to get one from O!!

I am with you man, I unloaded my 7750s... just not a chrono guy... but I sure do miss the feel of that movement on the wrist.mistake.gif

I completely relate to the dichotomy between EA and DB. The Good and the Bad, Yin and Yang, Dark and Light, God and Goddess...

Truth be told Eric, I would be scared to even attempt to install hands. Maybe I should just send the Orange Sammi to you and hope DiverBob doesn't get his hands on it...;) Blie plongeurs would look tight! I am so glad I finally grabbed a Sammi. Great kick around watches and it says a lot a connoisseur like you would hang on to one...Thumbsup3.gif
