I remember Schlitz as a decent lager beer on a school budget. :D Then your right, they changed it. Reminds me of one from around these parts you don`t see anymore.

Raaaaaaaaaainnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr:D I think I was about 16 and that was all we could get as there was a beer strike on- I know horrible sounding sign of the apocolypse. Can't say I rushed out for more when the strike ended. I must look for the Schlitz in the import coolers up here, or is it like Guinness and doesn't travel well?

I can remember drinking Schlitz tall boy cans. We would stash them in the snowbanks behind the movie theater my buddies and I worked at as ushers in New Jersey. Tasted great ice cold and it was a cheap buzz for 16 year olds. My grandfather worked for one of the iconic NY breweries Rheingold. We would have cases of crooked label widemouth bottles in my dad's garage fridge. The employees could take them home if they paid the tax on them.
