I had a nice surprise at TIMECO today as Mark dropped by the store to
see what was available...I showed him the Citizen Promaster Limited Edition
0326 / 1500 and a Hamilton Route 66 Limited Edition.

The one caught his eye was the Hamilton Khaki Aviation QNE
with the brand new ETA  2895-2 27 Jewel Automatic Movement.
However, due to the price difference of $200 in retail between Canadian
and the U.S. Dollar. It was still too high.

Kewl GTG  And yea B&M retail is not the way to go it a full time WIS. :D

For the WIS to get a truely good deal the retail place would make no money. :)

Vijay who is the other sales associate that I was working with.
Had phoned head office to see what kind of price break I could give to Mark.
The best that I could do was $ 815 taxes included.

At full retail price this particular watch would be
$980 with taxes included.

The good news is that at least Mark has
six days in Vancouver,so there is no rush to buy.:)

$815? I blew that price out of the water with a 30 second search online. If I wanted to go into biz doing this I could beat 95% of any retailers out there. :)  But that is to much work. LOL  ;)

The MSRP on the Hamilton Khaki Aviation QNE is $875 Canadian.
It's hard to compete with internet prices from the U.S.
However it's not the end of the world...I am confident that Mark would
pay me a second visit to the store.

And what a pleasure to finally meet Simon. Great to put a face to a member and Simon was kind enough to show me some of the treasures in the store. I made another stop and visited a store with some very high end pieces... but they were throwing around 25% discounts!

I spent the remainder of yesterday in the beautiful Stanley Park after having lunch at the Fish House. What a beautiful spot in a beautiful city! We'll start work today so I will be tied up all day until 5:00 but I have several more stops to make which hopefully will include a visit to Simon.

Here's a shot of two WIS in Vancouver!:D Of course I have the Astronaut on and Simon has a beautiful Hammy Maestro on.

It was Robert Redford and Paul Newman that starred in
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969).

Lurch got his nuts kicked in by Paul Newman in the famous fight...

Raindrops keep fallin' on my head,
And just like the guy whose feet are too big for his bed
Nothin' seems to fit
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

So I just did me some talkin' to the sun
And I said I didn't like the way he got things done
Sleepin' on the job
Those raindrops are fallin' on my head, they keep fallin'

But there's one thing I know
The blues they send to meet me won't defeat me
It won't be long till happiness steps up to greet me

Sorry, I've got carried away by the
theme song...now is stuck in my head.

What a great town Vancouver is. Just in from a great seafoood feast at the boathouse followed by cocktails at a cozy lounge. Prices are high but Vancouver certainly has a lot to offer. Very busy with work so I'm not certain I'll have a chance to meet with Simon again but it certainly was a pleasure. May have a bit of free time tomorrow and then we'll be out Saturday morning. I have to admit I don't want to leave...

We are hoping to get to either Grouse mountain or Capilano tomorrow afternoon and I really need to get some goodies for the kids. Great trip both for both business and pleasure.

It's nice to know that Mark have
had a good time in Vancouver.

With the scenary of the mountains and the surrounding
Burrurd Inlet, the cost of living
here is quite high.

I'm off tomorrow and be back to
work on Sat. In the event, that
I won't see Pax...I hope he has a
safe journey home.

Well, nice to hear Mark had a good trip.  I grew up in that town and I miss it regularly.  I hope that he got some time to sightsee a bit.  Simon, I'm definately going to stop by next time I'm in town!
