From following completed auctions for new Orsa mils on a popular auction site, prices seem to be in the 30-45 USD range on average (factoring in delivery).  One vendor on another sales forum has been unsuccesful, within the last 2-3 weeks, in moving 3 new Orsa mils with initial offering of USD70 even after reducing his price to USD50; both his prices include uninsured delivery.  Can't beat the former price range for the quality of the watch, but IMHO, the supplied strap has to be changed upon receipt.  Mine was replaced with a dark green "distressed aviator" leather strap from a popular strap supplier.  It matched the dark green Orsa mil's dial perfectly.  Just my $0.02 and observations here.

I can't understand how someone buying a Orsa/Mil for under $70. could have a complaint?face4.gif....it is one of the best buys out there and to buy it's counterpart the Hamilton version which is identical will cost you around $149. ....I wear my Orsa Mil quite often and change straps even on my much higher end watches regularly perfect.gif

Well obviously if someone wants to buy low and try to sell high on their own they assume the risk the market just won't bear it. At the going rate for these excellent little watches its a no brainer to strap them up as there are so many different combinations which will complement the various dials. I'm not a NATO guy so I would buy the watch head only if offered that way though  I will admit once you get a NATO broken in they are mighty comfy. I slapped a Hirsch (Liberty I think) in my cream dialed Orsa Mil and love the look. And I bought well from Berg via eBay. So in the end, with what his individual is asking I was able to get the watch and a nice strap without overpaying for the package. yourock.gif

Couldn't agree with you more.  But sometimes the Hammy counterpart comes in at the same price.  Won one on the bay BNIB for USD61 (but promptly flipped it; the Orsa looked better).  The brushed finish on case AND bracelet on the Hammy was a bit of overkill, IMHO.

I was just thinking this week that I need another of these.  Bought mine directly from Berg.

In case anyone was wondering what one would look like on a watchadoo...........

Its a super match in finish and the Orsa is just thick enough to pull it off.  Wear mine quite a bit.

BTW, I had the Hamilton for a while but liked the Orsa much better.  Sold the Hammy.

Looks good on that watchadoo.  Is the watch the black-dialed or green-dialed model.  The green is so dark that it looks black in most pictures unless the light hits it at a certain angle.  Or so it has been my experience.

That one is the black dial.  I wanted, and still do, the dark green but every auction that was the one that went for the most.  Soon as I got my black the trend seemed to reverse and the black became the more wanted and prices on the green dropped.  :?

Hope some more come up for auction soon.  They may be sold out for all I know.  Ill take another of either color if the price is right.:D

Just keep monitoring the bay offerings of Orsawatchco (Berg).  He usually puts up all 5 colors (black, black w/orange markers, grey, beige, and dark green) separately but concurrently at differing intervals.  Auctions  of his mil-styles closed out on the bay as recently as last week.

I picked up several as gifts for friends last fall.

Paid between $30 and $60. Picked them up on the bay from Berg.

They were much appreciated.

Even at $75 your getting an awesome watch.

MY 2 cents !

Hmmm!  Interesting.  The vendor mentioned in my initial post has come down to USD45 from USD70.
