My Orsa arrived yesterday (less than a week - pictures coming soon).  I was very pleased with the condition it was in - pristine.  I was a little apprehensive about the size at first at 46mm, with my 7" wrist, but it's all good.  Makes my SuperOcean seem small and light!  If I added a metal bracelet I could probably do curls with it haha.  I was already searching hefty black leather bands with orange stitching to complement it, but really the rubber strap it came with is quite nice.  The curved sapphire glass is different, but familiar - I once owned a 45mm Corum bubble watch. Normally I gravitate to more expensive Swiss pieces, but the economy has really dried up my disposable income for the moment.  What I really love about this watch is that it was made in Canada! hand6.gif

Let me too say welcome.  I bought mine off the Bay from Berg, and it is a great watch.  For it's size, the Monstrum is quite comfortable and the rubber strap is a 10/10 for me.  My only complaint is the lume doesn't last very long and is not very bright.  You will find the mechanism very robust and accurate, and the crystal will take a minute to get used to.  But like you said, you've had a watch with a similar crystal, so it shouldn't be a worry.  ENJOY!

Welcome to the fold.  My Monstrum quickly became a favorite.  And it is my wife's FAVORITE hands down of my watches.

Both your watch and band look beautiful. Good work. Where did you pick up the band?
Enjoy
