Got the Invicta 3965 the other day, but I'm not sure about this combo with this strap Paul made for me...

I know Velcro is not always popular, but I did fit it to my MTM velcro. I think it gives it a nice stealth tactical look...

Thanks for the feedback,

Bill

IMO Bill the leather is too light in color, that same strap in black with orange stitching would look awesome.

No offense but I don't like it one the Orb. The velcro looks cool though. What did it come one. If its the original strap you could always put an orange sharpie to the stitching and go with that...;)

Agree with Paxman on the simple way to 'tie it together' with the sharpie, and it does look sweet on the nylon/velcro, I like the way the nylon pattern hits with that dial!   Looks tactical and practical...yourock.gif

Bill...so honestly...not a total disaster...the light tan leather strap would really look great if it had Black stitching instead of the White IMO (I'm a little particular and would love to see a nice burnished black edging on this strap, but that is just me).  I would still not avoid wearing it on the tan leather strap though...because as I continue to admire it, it's starting to grow on me a bit.:)

I have a PVD Csar with white numerals on the dial instead of orange (see pic below of a custom strap I had made).  Like the strap alot and think it would work well on any PVD model...but I'm obviously biased.

The velcro combo looks great...casually sporty...I would still wear the light tan combo as long as you've got it...it really is starting to grow on me...I just thing some kind of "black" contrast in the strap would help tie in the PVD case of the 3965.

To clarify, I DO like the strap on that one, first glance I wasn't sure, maybe just because that's a thick piece of leather there, I had the same reaction when I first saw the B&R, I think it takes about 60-90 seconds to adjust before you realize, "that's pretty bad@$$!

I like the brown strap it totally rocks, it goes with that black case, hands down dont get rid of it, It's like it was born to be with that watch.  I dont like the velcro strap.
In joy it Bill......ThumbsUp02.gif

The white stitch is what dose it in. It it had black stitch that might work allot better.

Well, this is kinda what I expected :). Popular opinion works for me in this decision. The white thread on Paul's strap doesn't work with this watch. I do like the color of Stew's strap and I may have Jeanna make a strap with that color combo; I also understand it will be like what Edgel so eloquently put "a $100 saddle on a $50 horse"subtlelaugh.gif

As far as the original strap goes, sorry guys but I'm not fond of the original strap. It doesn't seem to fit right for me. The velcro is much more comfortable and kinda fun to wear. So it will stay on the velcro until I get something else.

Not to worry though, Paul's strap has returned to its original and well received home, my 3968...

Thanks guys for your honest opinions. This the kinda thing that makes this forum great!

Bill

Hey Bill...no problem.

I feel much better knowing that the strap returned to its original home and wasn't left an orphan!!!:D

I think that the tan strap looks absolutely sweet returning to its original home on the 3968 (that combo works very nicely with the white stitching playing well with the stainless steel case and the white hands).ThumbsUp02.gif

I agree if it had black stitching it would play much better on that PVD.....but the same strap on your SS 3968..it looks real good..

Also the black velcro...does look cool on the black case
