Well I have sold many watches ( Vortex, Orsa SA, Moray, 2 Oceanaires, 2 Monsters, 2 Invictas, 3 Parnis, A Jacques Lehman F1,... ) and acquired a few new ones (Black IP Oceanaires, Steinhart GMT...)... but mostly to make room for new 2010 diver arrivals I have on pre-order. The first one to come should be my new Dwatch custom Sting Ray within a couple of weeks, the Benarus Worldiver ETA, the Blue Orsa Sea Viper then this summer the Irreantum diver in CF dial. I also have three Parnis incoming. My first issue is... well my watch case is full as you can see though my Zinex Pilot is missing as it is at my office... and I have a few other cheap/old watches not pictured here but nothing crazy! Now I need to figure out which are gonna get kicked out of the duplex to make room for my new 4 top notch divers coming the first half of 2010:) May need to consider getting another smaller watch case (10-12 watch) though I'd like to buy a small 2 (4 max) watch winder too, to keep the Steinhart and Dwatch in. Can you gus recommend a good affordable watch winder? IS the one in the brookstone catalogue any good? So here's how it stands now, I try to keep it in the 25-30 watch range. As you can see No Rolex or Panerai... for now.:) And the Lume View... can recognize the heavy lume hitters!!!:D These are the ones with sentimental value... given to me by my parents. The Breitling for my 18th Bday aftter being in the hospital/Physical Rehab center away from home 4 months. The B&M for my 30th Birthday.

Hey, Brice, you're doing quite well there, buddy! Seems like your collection is maturing a bit. Thing is, you are going through the motions at one hell of a pace! Most of us have been there, done that, but then in years rather than months! Needless to say, your brethren here at 3T have succeeded in messing with your mind...... Just kidding, of course! Your collection looks amazing. I use the aluminum carry cases for my watches that hold 15 each, plus space for 10 more flat watches or straps in the lid. See pic. Winders have been discussed a lot here previously. I bought 3 from Amazon.com ("time Tutelary") about 2 years ago and use them intermittently - mostly to mimic a wear cycle when I'm regulating a watch. I don't keep any of my watches on the winder permanently. These are good at the price and have various programs too. You need to know the requirements for your particular movement if you want to keep a watch on the winder indefinitely. There are detailed lists published on a few websites. Downside of these winders is the noise. Not quiet by any means, so forget about keeping it by your bedside! Good stuff, Brice. More specifics on winders: http://www.orbita.net/pages/17100.htm Like Nick I've outgrown the need for winders...

Thanks all. I just realized I omitted to include my two pocket watches on the pics:) will have to remedy that tonight. I'll look for prior 3T threads on winders and Pax, thank you for the linky. I'll hopefully have time to read it while I eat my linch. Some of the watches I hope to add to my collection are an Omega, another Breitlng though there are too many I like:), and hopefully a Panerai... Long term. No rush. On the cheaper side I would like a Zodiac blue SeaWolf, Deep Blue diver or Helson, citizen Nighthawk and a 42-45mm pilot.

Brice, you amaze me with the parking lot of watches.hand6.gif I like your choices. What I do, however, is I keep my watches spread out among 4 bank safe custody boxes and rotate usage every few months or so. With me when I travel around are a few pieces and when I stay in hotels or in my off-base home, I keep the watches inside the room vaults. When I travel, the 5 or 6 watches on me are spread on my wrists, pockets and cabin luggage (wrapped in old socks or inside some bubble wrap). Sometimes I bring a small yellow Pelican case and keep them all inside. Of course, the ariport scanners light up like New Year's Eve when I walk through. I was never a believer of winders and prefer to use the saved dinero for a watchhunt. In my opinion, and this is because I've been trained a little bit in risk recognition, I'd like to parlay all that "possession risk" by spreading them around. I'd never be able to sleep at night knowing all my watches were in the same spot I was. Might be nice to keep this in mind.:)
