I have noticed on the Q bracelet that the link that attaches to the end link does not move freely.  It always seems to be stuck in a downward position.  I have never had this type of bracelet so am not sure if thats just the way it is.  Which is fine because it really is no big deal on the wrist.

I was wondering if I polished down the sides of the link would it move more freely, and thus not kink up all the time?

I added a photo to clarify my observation.

try putting a little 3in1 oil between the links and working it in...then you can wipe off the excess and wash it.hand6.gif

Did you ever have any luck with this? I am having the same problem. My though is to use a dremmel and sand/polish the inside of the end link to reduce the friction.

Thanks!

Actually, I never got around to trying to correct it.  I had the same thought about polishing it a bit.  Let me know how it comes out.

I ended up filing it down a bit, then buffing with the dremel.  It took a while, but now it is fixed!  It took a lot of patience because I didn't want to overdo it and have it too loose.  So there was a lot of reps where I did some, put everything back together and tested.

I used a fine metal file for the filing then the polishing attachment with rubbing compound to smooth everything out at the end.

Looks like its time to unpack the dremel.  Thats pretty much what I had in mind, glad it worked out.  I will give it a shot.  Thanks

Howdy.  Fresh off the boat here and looking to purchase a Q very soon.  But the issue above concerns me, especially considering my wrist is 8" (like to wear my bracelets a little loose so say 8.25").  Could either of you guys who observed this problem tell me if

1. Your wrist is 8"ish

2. Did you resolve the problem and was the fix necessary for comfort or just a little OCD type stuff?

If there any Q owners with larger wrist I'd appreciate any insights you could give me on how well the bracelet fits for you.  If I buy it, I can't send it back so I just want to be as informed as I can before finalizing the purchase.  Thanks!

If you are ordering directly from Chris I would just ask him to check for the problem before sending the watch. He will be sure to send you one that does not have the issue. I can't answer the question about 8" wrist, but the bracelet fits my 7.5" wrist just fine. I think I took out 3 links.

Hi

My Q arrived mid June, there is, IMHO, no comfort issue, I never noticed a problem untill i read this thread and pulled the bracelet about, it just kind of catches but frees up...

As Grinning said email Chris about it, he will look after you. What ever you do, dont let this minor bracelet thing put you off... Its an amazing watchdrool.gif

I have a 7.75 to 8" wrist and took a link out and have a fairly slack fit.

The bracelet link catching is by no means a major issue.  As a matter of fact I still haven't gotten around to correcting the problem, its just not that big of a deal.

My wrist is about 7.5 and I have no comfort issues.  I absolutely love the adjustable clasp.

Don't let the minor link issue influence your decision to buy this watch.  It is an absolutely AWESOME piece.
