Greetings, I have been a long time reader(lurker?) of this website and not much of a contributor.  I have some Quartz Hamiltons that I like a lot, but I am mostly banging around the Timex Iron Man my daughter picked out for me at the NEX.  She was 1 years old when she picked it.

Ok enough about me, I am doing my normal every third month before  a holiday (Father's Day) watch searching and dreaming.  I was checking out a watch's official US site and checked out some military themed watches. One of the watches I liked was listed at a price of $0.00.  I thought hmm interesting I put it in the shopping cart and got all the way through till the final purchase click and the price was still only shipping and handling.  Of course my conscience got the best of me and I called their US office and brought up the $0.00 issue.  The person said it was a mistake and couldn't say if the company would or wouldn't honor that price.  Well I gave my info and will hopefully hear back from there.  I did not order it though.

I guess my question is do you think they would have honored the price?  I guess a good discussion point for online retailers and their policies.  Once again I didn't order the watch but if it is not changed by next Tuesday I may.  Have a great weekend everyone.

Welcome to 3T!!
Also if they display a price in the UK it has to honoured otherwise they my get sued for mis selling that item, its a mistake but how far are you willing to take it?
Also if they have corrected it before your order you cannot do much about it.

Again welcome!!

This situation has come up in the past most notably with some Gevrils that Sierra Trading Post was offering a few years back. In that case they honored their price regardless of the error. However, I would be surprised if a vendor honored a $0.00 price. Keep us posted...

The $0.00 is used when the price has not been determined. Usually a buyer or someone like that puts in the price. In this case, it got posted and is an obvious mistake. Good for you for catching it and calling the company. Many companies have a clause that explains they are not responsible for typographical errors. I would be surprised if any retailer would honor the $0.00 price.

I spotted a $6000 Rolex on a site last Summer listed at $600. Wish they would have honorded that but thanked me for pointing out their error. Stuff happens.

Heard back from the company that had the wrong price on their website.  They said thank you and would extend their 1 day 10% off special that they had.  I don't think I will be using it though.  I liked a couple of their watches, but right now I am still searching.  Of course it only frustrates the wife, she wants to get me something for Father's Day and I still can't decide on the watch I like.  Oh well I do this every year and am still searching.  Of course if I had a million bucks it wouldn't be a problem.   A word of advice don't wait till May and June to build your daughter's swing set in lower Alabama it gets a little hot out there.
