Merci Ian!

I wish I could be off grilling out, watching fireworks and drinking a coktail right now!subtlelaugh.gif

When I was a kid, I spent 3 months in Port Camargue on the Mediterranean sea whrere my family owns a place right on the water.

on the 14th at night every year, all the neighbors get together for dinner a la fresca on the dock then we took the boats out and watch the fireworks at night from the boat at sea where you can see fireworks shot from 4 different locations: Port Camargue, Grau du Roi and La Grande Motte. Beautiful sight!

Sounds like an ideal way to celebrate! I have been to Port Carmague only once but for those who do not know, it is one of the world's great scenic gifts. 3 months there? Even if the time was spent there as a young 'un - must have been heaven, mate.

Hammer is right - the separation of politics and religion began with the French and the famous line "let them eat cake!".

And nabco ~ "party down!" !!! :)

Happy celebrations all!
