Well last night i laid my bike down on the freeway. was cruising in the car pool doing aout 50 with another rider in front of me about 60 feet when some tard decided to turn into the car pool lane across the double yellow when his door was next to the rider in front of me.. the rider was dropped quick and i locked em up and fish tailed her.. maintained enouff control to avoid the other bike perpidicular to me and the other traffic parallel to me.. i rolled over the bars and his bike stopped me when I rolled into with my back.. I am ok tho i have a sprained left ankle, right knee, right shoulder with a possible mild seperation and bruised back and rib muscles. i got a little road rash even tho i was in full leathers. i have some rash on my right wrist and non on my left.. why is this? my meg took the hit and damage for me :( crystal and bezel ground down badly. Other biker was in about the same shap as I. we both went to ER. bike still runs tho her left side chrome and bags scratched up pretty bad. :( waiting to hear frm adjuster prolly be 3-4 weeks before i get my lady back..

Greg,

Glad your ok....Ride long enough and it happens to all of us. Full leathers, good for you, me too. When I see some JA in shorts and tennis shoes I want to jerk a knot in his head!

Get well soon,

Rod in Va.

Greg

I'm with you, bro!  Strongs, man.  This is the risk we have to deal with when we ride.  I have been riding for 35 years, and came off badly once.
I can hardly believe the mentality of most riders I have encountered while traveling on 66.  No leathers, no helmet, hell, mostly only t-shirt and jeans!  On my recent 5000 mile bike trip, the temperature often rose to 100 and above.  Never took off the leathers.
It beats me how America is so conscious of everything that is detrimental to your health.............I suppose your human rights to be stupid weigh more in this case.....whichone.gif
Get well soon! Post a pic of that Mega, please.

I hope all is going well for your recovery.  I had my acciedent almost 2 yrs ago, I was cut off by a amored truck.  My brother had a bad one about a month ago he was in ICU for a week.  But like they all say is that is the chances we take as M/C riders

Take care!!

I laid my down in May coming back to NOLA from the Alabama H.O.G. Rally.  Pouring rain, lightning and a brain bucket are not a good combination.

Did 5G's in damaage, and the Harley shop had her for 12 weeks (special edition paint).  Separated my right shoulder, so I know your pain Bro.
