Last year, I was fortunate to own two Meg I's, a brushed and a PVD but foolishly sold them both. This is a mistake I have regretted for some time now.

Anyway, the option to buy another came up on a UK forum and it should be on my wrist tomorrow. I can't wait and WILL NOT make the same mistake a third time. Yippppeeee....

Ok...this is not directed at YOU Dejjl per se but WIS in general.

I simply do not understand the reasons why WIS FLIP their watches so often and sometimes so quickly. It is almost like the S part of the equation just wins out and they buy whatever comes along in the hope they will like it. I know a lot of us buy watches untested / worn / seen on the internet but with watches like the Meg.....WHY WOULD YOU SELL IT ?

If you are happy with your collection, then good for you, but we are all different and I have enjoyed owning lots of brands/models and by flipping (selling, buying and trading), I have made many new friends. I have also learnt a lot more than I would have done otherwise.

Enjoy you Meg I. With hindsight, I should have kept my brushed Meg I, but I am currently enjoying what is in my opinion the best colour combo - pics to follow.

In the classic car/hot rod game, it's very common for someone to spend a year or more building a car and then sell it almost immediately. Others build a car and then keep changing things, making repairs as they're needed and just enjoying it for years to come. It's all a mater of choice; for some the thrill is in the chase, for others it's the prize itself.

Personally, I like to keep a watch for at least a year before I think about selling. I tend to only buy things I know I'll like and wear, so when I decide to flip I know I've gotten everything from the watch that I can and I'm less likely to regret it.

I think some so called "flippers" might just enjoy the thrill of the Chase.
I personally don't like to sell watches unless I bought thinking that I would like it but that usually does not happen.

Even though I do not wear all of my watches ( some have never been worn) I still like the idea of having what I think is a nice collection.

To each their own. The thrill of the Chase or the thrill of looking for something else in trade.
