Well. My 2 weeks of R&R is up and I'm at the airport waiting to board. Technically I've 5 to 6 months left, but there's a possibility our unit is coming home early and before the year is up. I'll keep everyone posted. Cheers ThumbsUp02.gif

It's been awhile since I've been on here so I thought I'd give a brief update. We were all hopeful of getting to come home early, but it didn't pan out for us. Some last minute decisions pretty much nipped it in the bud or I'd be returning same as Ken's Bandidos. We're now here till march before we start our journey home. I'm no longer in the southern most end of the Hindu Kush. I was transferred from there to another company that was based on the plains of Zormat. It sucked to leave the guys I'd trained, lived and fought with for 6 months, but it was a decision based on some of my specialized skill sets and outside my control. I ended up in the platoon of an old platoon sergeant of mine so the transition was uneventful. That company has since transitioned to Bagram Airfield in preparation for a follow on mission now that we've been relieved by the 25th Infantry. I'm doing well and look forward to being home in a few monthsThumbsUp02.gif
