Just got new rifle, ordered it at the Knob Creek Gun Shoot http://www.machinegunshoot.com/.  Just got all of the pieces put together.  Need to get it coated now, that will take a minute.

Some more pics for your enjoyment

223 the groupings that I have been getting are about 2.78 inches at 300 yards with good ammo.  I have to many 308's.  I went to a miltary prep high school and got into shooting paper.  Thought I would get back into it.

Side note, if you ever get a bull barrel that is stainless make sure it can stay cool, loss of accuracy is extream once hot.

Thanks man, Armor Tuff it pertects the finish and friction is reduced.  Basicly I think it is an epoxy finish that is heat cured, not realy sure, good stuff though.

e.avery, SWEET!

I have 2 AR's, both 16". My next will be a heavy barrel varmit type. Trying not to justify investing in a Colt M16.

The prices of the colts have shot up now that the only way you can get a new one is to have a class 3 license.  Only selling them to the police and military has opened the door for smaller comp..

Yes it is,  Wilson Combat applies it and it is what the SEAL's use on there guns to fight corrosion.  I think Novak also does on there custom shop.  Mainly only put it on a blued one the only poeple that coat SS are Military and Swat.

Yep. An original pre 86 transferrable Colt is around $13K-$14K. Plus the paperwork hassle/wait. I don't think I can justify that, although I'm sure it will be worth much more in a few years. Prices for Class III stuff are not going down.

When the ban was removed a limited # of Colts were released with police and ban markings.  They are the best attempt at making some off of them.  They are simi auto but with the right markings.
