Thanks everyone for the great comments. We are currently finishing up a vintage style oyster bracelet. This Raven is 42mm wide, 51mm lug to lug, 15mm high at the top of the crystal, to the bezel is about 12mm high. The fit and finish is absolutely perfect. We will have these finished and ready for sale on the Raven site in mid February. They will be $680 + shipping. Price is subject to change in the future.

Just my opinion....I think the Raven V would look best on the vintage oyster mentioned by Steve.

There is a Super Oyster 2A out there that fits great on my Seiko 399K (square indeces) and my imagination is running on this.

Steve....you might wanna check it out. If lugs width is 22 and that case is as it is, fit would I think, be almost custom-made. Chris (Stew77) has a 399K, too, and I think he might know what I'm talking about. Just my opinion...

No doubt that Steve and Ralf's vintage oyster will be a sweet combo on the upcoming Raven Vintage!!!! Great insight though Jeff! thumbsup.gif. I agree with you amigo...could be a surprisingly sweet fit with the Super Oyster II if the lug width is 22mm....hmmmm?...I guess it all comes down to the distance between the lug bar hole and the case.cool.gif

The bracelet is being custom made to fit this case. This is not a typical sub case, the lugs are 22mm. The end links on our bracelet are solid, the bracelet will have the rivets on the side, tapers like it should, the spring bar position is near the end of the lugs, this is the place it needs to be for our bracelet, and makes using a ZULU easier, but I think if you put a straight end steel bracelet on it it will not look good because of the gap between the case and bracelet. These watches will ship with the bracelet included and a rubber strap, so there is no need to buy another bracelet.

Arrgghhh! I had finally decided that now I would really save up to get a Omega PO, but this is just to great to pass up. Originaly I was not that thrilled about the 42mm, but I have canged my mind ...It´s just perfect Steve and Ralf!!! Great work guys.
And that domed crystal ...droooollllwowzer.gifGet this baby on a green/red regimental nato strap, and don´t look back (although that bracelet sure sounds nice to)
Btw, is the rubber strap to be included the 22mm Isofrane type strap Oscar has on it?
If so, my only con, but hey, everything else rocks!

Having 2 Corvus Bradley Dive watches, I'm a built-in customer for this vintage-style watch.

While this may be my first watch with a bracelet, I'm curious as to what rubber strap it will come with.

Also, I'm use to drilled-through lugs; is it easy to get to the spring bars on this type of case?

OKay, I have news that we had a short delay but they should be shipping to me at the end of this week. That means they should arrive by Monday. I will need to sort and insect them when they arrive and then build the web pages for the purchase opportunity. I will try and make an HD close up video of the head piece today. I still do not have a bracelet here to show, they will arrive with the watches.

I am getting. Dry interested in this bad boy! It looks amazing. The acrylic dome is really nice. I guess it could be a scratch magnet. Can it easily be repaired or replaced?

"polywatch"... I guess the way it works is as you rub faster the chemicals sort of melt the acrylic back together and that fills in all the scratches. You can get it on Amazon. I may try and get a bulk order of it so I can make it available.

Page 34, bottom right... in the mysterious catalog of watch cases that I have never seen. sorry, not trying to sound smart here, but I have not yet seen a catalog of watch cases at the office in Hong Kong. I have seen a catalog of hands and it is nearly 4 inches thick with thousands of hands to look at.

As for our cases it always starts with ideas and discussions. There is no need to reinvent the sub case, so we talk about what we want to do with it... bring the lugs in more, remove the crown guards, round off the end of the lugs, add a polished edge between the top of the case and the side, brush the bezel for better grip, add a lume bezel insert... these discussions are how we came up with the case.

The reason I ask is because it looks like a better quality version with adjustments such as screw down crown, domed crystal etc of the case I have for my Mees and Co dive watch.

I had never heard of that brand, I just looked it up. Is it a 42mm case? I see differences in it right away, but yes it looks like a sub case also.

Erm...yeah I was saying that everything in the Raven seems to be better quality I believe. I was pointing out the case and possible the crown, with the lack of crown guards makes it look like a similar case, hence asking if this was an modified catalogue case used for the Raven mistake.gif

Let me just answer, and give away more proprietary information. The factories do not keep cases on a shelf, and pull them off to to make watches, at least not in my experience with our watches and our factory. We discuss the watch with the factory, we get engineering specs of the case, we make changes, we discuss the dial and hands, we get drawings from the factory, we discuss changes. Then we begin production, this involves making these cases from steel bars, not taking some case off some shelf.

Yes, I have confirmation they will be here Monday, unless customs decides to delay, which usually doesn't happen. This doesn't mean they will be available for sale on Monday, but I will be working quickly to make them available on the website as soon as I can. You can sign up on the Raven website and be notified by email when they are ready.

It has been a long day. I think 40-50 boxes shipped today. It was only possible by ignoring email all day, so if you sent me an email last night or today I will answer it later on tonight or tomorrow.

I don't remember the last time that I was this excited about a 42mm timepiece, as I tend to like the bigger pieces (like the Megalodon...which I have many variations).  However, with that said, I believe that the Raven Vintage was so well made at capturing the vintage stylings of yesteryear's timepieces that I couldn't pass this one up.  Just completed my purchase w/Steve before the inventory runs out.  I'm really looking forward to receiving this piece and the accompanying kit isn't too bad either...an ISOfrane type rubber strap and OD green zulu to boot.  Nice touch!  The collaborative efforts of Steve, Jeff and Ralf on building a quality vintage piece really shine through on this one.  Have a good one and Happy Collecting to my Fellow 3T'ers.

I'm waiting for my Raven Vintage here in Germany. I hope it shows up next week. I'm really excited about this watch. It's the first 42mm watch since a long time because I only wear watches about 44mm and larger. But the finish and the nice design of this Raven watch makes me nuts my love.gif
