John Lennon was given an 18kt Yellow Gold 2499 for his 40th Birthday from Yoko,on Oct.9,1980.

Charlie Sheen had his 2499 stolen by a Prostitute.

According to Christie's Auction House, the Eric Clapton Patek-Philippe ref.2499 is estimated between
2.5 Million - 4 Million Swiss Francs ($2.6 Million - $4.2 Million USD).

Charlie Sheen should know it: You never take off your 2499 for a poke...
A Patek is little, flat: You don't need to take it off for a prostitute

Thanks Oscar, the full topic http://www.watchonista.com/2914/watchonista-blog/news/highlights-exceptionnal-auction-12-november-2012-christies

(I just don't rehost the pics for 3T)

The big deception is the "Jb Champion", only 3.3millions.

The big deception is the "Jb Champion", only 3.3millions.

It's known that a watch with a name on the dial or the case see it's value diminished...
Or it must be engraved "Albert Einstein" , "Mahatma Ghandi"... On the back.
It might be seen as a bit arrogant to have the name on the dial
