I was strolling the mall recently and passed by Torneau as I always try to. In the 'used' case is the Rolex Stainless Steel white dial Daytona. So I inquire the price; $14,250.

Wow! New (if you can find them) they are what, like 10% less? Crazy. And, no, it wasn't even the El Primero version! Talk about demand driving price.

Seems like there's no watch brand in the world who's more victim of market's speculation than Rolex.
Many people buy Rolex to "invest" and resell with wide benefit.
Considering that those values are from outer-space: Meaning that the fabrication cost has nothing to do with it... I've never seen that as a smart move: One day some will bite the dust.
That day might come when people will understand why some brands/groups are so attached to the 50% Swiss-made law and fight undercover since years against the FH and it's projects.
