My father-in-law has collected Ford Model A's forever, now that he is approaching 90 years old he has decided to pass his last car onto me.

It's a 1930 Model A Type 45-B Deluxe 5 Window Coupe. T&E side mounted spare tire and the cowl lamps make it a Deluxe.

It has a whopping 40 HP, 4 cylinder engine.

He did a ground up restoration on this car about 30 years ago, it is all original with some minor modifications for fuel cut off and electrical cut off, otherwise all original down to the exterior paint and interior colors.

Driving this car is a blast, no power stirring, mechanical brakes, skinny ass tires and very little suspension. He put a high speed rear end in this car a few years ago (in his 80's) so it has a top speed in the 50 MPH range, not that you would want to drive it that fast!!!

You have to be an engineer to start the car, choke, spark advance, fuel delivery, etc. all have to be set perfect for it to turn over...once it's running it runs like a top.

Right now the car is down in Florida and I'm working on making arrangements to get it shipped up to Ohio...hopefully will have it here in the next 30 days.

Here's a few pics.

Incredible, Nic. I love it a lot and can tell it's been very carefully brought back. Enjoy!
