What are the chances of some of the previous models making a return to production? In particular the Remora and the World Diver.

Given the current history and long list of hits from Benarus, I would say that there is a better than good chance you will see future production of the Remora and World Diver.

They will just be in slightly different configurations (lume, dials, bezels, handsets, and possibly different case materials/finishes than you have seen from previous production runs), in keeping with the limited runs that Steve and Ralf produce for the various Benarus models.

Right now I am leaning towards a return of the 1km with some changes. Ralf and I are still discussing the ideas.

Very interesting and somewhat suprising to me. The 1km is nice but somewhat of an "older" and common design.

I would think you would be working on modernizing your more popular designs. A next generation Megladon with a smoother, more aerodynamic (lower) design. (but keep the external bezel)

How about an XL rubber strap for the current Megladon?

Maybe a Ti 47 (or maybe 45) in black steel?

Or step out of the box and do a Benarus pocket watch?

Just sayin.....

Love the sound of a return of the 1km Steve! bravo.gif

A sweet design for sure, and I look forward to hearing what you and Ralf come up with for new variations! thumbsup.gif

When I say some design changes for a 1km, my ideas are: a crown at 4:00, no crown guards, a wider dial, a different bezel, a polished steel DLC coated bezel insert (like some Grand Seiko), brushed/polished case, a different dial, different hands, different bracelet, NOT made in Germany.

As for a new Ti47, we are finalizing a new design right now that will begin production soon and includes a bracelet with the new adjustable clasp. The new Ti47 has a different dial design and will feature a single dome sapphire to add interesting distortions from the angles.

That's one seriously chunky piece of metal on your wrist, nothing personal but I wasn't a huge fan of the old one feeling it to be a bit to tooly for me but I'm interested to see how this changes effect it's appearance. Hopefully for the better.

No one knows your business better than you guys but it's a shame that the Remora wasn't on the radar this time round because with the dart dial it was such a striking looking piece.

P.S.
Loving the Moray B Steve, it's by far my favourite watch. ThumbsUp02.gif

I still own one of the original 04/30 1km, and it is such a great understated watch...the  Fricker case and bracelet is perfect. would have loved the PVD version..

Steve, great news about the 1k and Ti47. I look forward to their release. I am on the reservation list for the Sea Snake (green dial/orange hand) and will NOT be passing on it. Regrettable to say, but I missed my reservation for the Moray (long story best told over a beer). BTW, for those of you that haven't had the pleasure of ownership, the Benarus line is fantastic and Steve's customer service is first rate.

Ralf and I will be together in Hong Kong in 3 weeks. We will attend the HK Watch Fair and this is where we talk watches all day long. We will be discussing the future of Benarus and I think we will plan to design something new for our next watch.

When we are together in Hong Kong we are inspired and discuss what we want to see and wear next. Right now nothing is planned except the new Ti-47 and the bronze 47.

I will post news about our next NEW design as soon as we confirm what we will do. Thank you for continuing to support us!!!

I can't wait to see what 'NEW' designs will be cooked up but as someone constantly searching watchrecon  it continues to amaze me how much these watch make secondhand and just how quickly they sell which suggests to me that there's definitely a market for new versions of each.

Hi Steve,

what about a chronograph with a minimum of 44mm?

Agreed about a deeper blue on the Moray 47 and while they are at it give it a matching deep blue bezel, that would look amazing.
