I'm interested in this 1 Oscar-but 53mm is BIG.
Can Steve chime in on this w/ some live pics besides what's on his website??mini me.gif

I'm really liking the look of the grey dialed or brown no min markers.

This is a 44mm Moray case William. I just measured my Bronze Moray 44, and it is exactly 53mm at the longest lug-to-lug length dimenion. This will be the same case size as your Bronze-Mo. ThumbsUp02.gif

Steve has a number of 'live' pics on the website page too (all the way at the bottom).

I'm liking the look too, and the Plexi is looking sexy as expected (lovin' those sun-brushed dial options too)!

Greg,
That blue is going to be fantastic! That said I went with the brown which is a dial color I don't have!

Introducing the Vintage Moray in 44mm
Posted: 28 Mar 2015 06:51 AM PDT

Here is the classic Moray dive watch with some visually pleasing vintage characteristics. This 44mm stainless steel watch features a plexi high dome acrylic crystal that gives that vintage look and feel with attractive distortions at the edges. The watch case is 300 meters water resistant with a glass case back to view the caliber 9015 with signed BENARUS rotor. The bezel is also a new design to compliment the vintage look of this model, and the crown is now larger at 8.5mm. The Vintage Moray is available on the Benarus website in 8 different dial combinations and ships on a dark brown 24mm leather strap. The kit includes a black travel case, extra lug screws, and a 1 year warranty. Price is $480 + Shipping.

Shown above is the new Vintage Moray model VM01 solid black dial. Below you see the sun brushed blue dial of the model VM03 surrounded by new Vintage Morays.

The blue, brown, and grey dials are sun brushed from the center out, and also feature a fade from bright in the center to darker at the edges. This is keeping with the vintage theme and represents a dial that has been faded by the sun.

The high dome acrylic is a perfect match with this watch case. It makes this Moray pleasing to look at and feel in the hands. Acrylic crystals were used in the past with original Rolex, Tudor, Panerai, and other dive watches of the past. Acrylic was also used on the original Omega moon watches because the astronauts could not risk any glass floating around on the ship if the crystal broke or chipped.

The case back on the Vintage Moray is glass to show the caliber 9015 and signed BENARUS rotor. The 9015 is a mix of matte steel plates and higher polished and brushed bridges. The rotor is also a mix of sun brushed with an edge that reminds me of a diamond knife sharpener. The 9015 beats at 28,800 bph, which adds up to 8 ticks per second for a very smooth sweep. The power reserve is 30-40 hours, and the second hand stops when you pull out the crown to set the time.

Above is the blue dial, model VM03. Below is a grey dial, model VM07.

Below you see the C3 Super-LumiNova at work.

There are 2 different dials available in 4 colors making 8 total choices for the new Vintage Moray. Above you see the V44A dial on model VM02. Below you see the V44A dial on model VM07.

Please visit our website to read more about the technical specs and to see all 8 models. Thank you for reading and feel free to leave your comments, questions or suggestions in the comment section.

William, check out the pic posted by Oscar. It shows a very good rise of the plexi. Great profile.

Man, I'm really pissed.

I ordered the Moray two weeks ago from Steve.

Still, the watch is not here. crazy.gif

I pay money for expensive express shipping !!!

Unfortunately, Steve sent with USPS.

There are better companies than USPS.

I don't understand why Steve uses USPS for international orders. no.gif
