Full kit, warranty and card, manual, hang tag, etc.

These ship with the new soft silicone/rubber/PU strap whatever it's made out of.

It's a beautiful homage to the 6309 glossy lume on the dial doesn't quite match the daylight color of the lume on the hands but the lume on the hands isn't glossy so I suspect it's really the same color but the different finish makes the daylight color look different. Both the dial and hands have the expected atomic Seiko lume.

Chapter ring alignment is slightly off from the dial, not sure if it's the ring or if the dial needs adjustment but it seems to be a common "feature" of new Seiko's so I won't let it bother me. When I open it up to time it I'll adjust the dial and chapter ring properly but I'm not in a hurry.

One of the great features that has returned with this model is drilled lugs so I finally have a use for some fat shoulder-less springbars I have been hording...

I can't think of anything else to say, I'll just wear it and enjoy it and let you look at some quick and dirty pictures.

Another great new arrival Chris !

The new Turtle is on my list since they shown from SEIKO in the news.

The alignment problem is there for quite some time. On a few other SEIKO diver too.
For example on the SUMO's.
It annoys me mightily. crazy.gif

What's going wrong with SEIKO !?

Nevertheless, I'm going to buy one of these new TURTLE's.

Well, well Chris!!! A nice 2-fer arrival sequence you've got going today!!! happy guy.gif

I absolutely love it! The SRP779 pepsi is the version that has my eye the most given the different variations of these new Turtles announced by Seiko (very cool to see you found one already and hopefully for a reasonable price). I've been looking periodically, and it seems like the places that have them in stock are gouging a bit on the price. I guess the general stock isn't supposed to hit the market until the new year.

Again, big congrats on another awesome new arrival! thumbsup.gif

The cash price on this one is about 220 US but you will have to fly to Malaysia or the Philippines to get the cash price... for the rest of the world it should be about 100 more so anything around 320 is OK, I got mine from watches88 paid to be the first kid on the block with it. It will be interesting to see where the price settles at once they are available everywhere.

Thanks for the info and reference Chris. I was seeing asking prices around $450 at a few sources, which seemed a little excessive over the cash price that you noted.

All versions of these new ones are very cool, but like I said...really diggin' the pepsi version and it looks like many are also liking that version. Thanks again for the reference.thumbsup.gif

I placed an order for two of the versions last night...was notified the pepsi already out of stock until late January 2016! mistake.gif My search for a pepsi will continue into the new year (I have an all-blue on ss bracelet incoming in the new year though).

Looks like you might have gotten some of the last in-stock Pepsi turtles Chis & Oscar! thumbsup.gif

he has them Chris, but Maylasia could take time to arrive,,,,Chrono24 has all of them, but price upon request(looks like someone is trying to capitalize on the demand) ...my order with watches88 was refunded this morning with a "sorry,we ran out of stock, more in Jan.16'...so I got a hold of Wayne (wayneswatches) and was able to pick up the Seiko SRP775K1(black & gold) ...reminds me of WUS in the early years when everything new and popular sold out in minutes, like when the Orange Monster 1st came out!dog smile.gif

Agreed Oscar...huge demand for the new Turtles with stock selling off pretty fast. Watches88 did have the all-blue version on bracelet for me in-stock, so that one is on the way, but no pepsi (Watches88 gets 5 stars from me for very responsive and communicative customer service...they are even throwing in some free stuff with my order since they didn't have the pepsi in stock). Like you said, Chrono24 has the bulk of stock, but they are gouging the worst on price at close to $450 unless you want to play the auction game on ebay and see where final bidding ends up.

Greg- I have not heard of machtwatch (http://www.machtwatch.co.id), but agree with you...nice website. Have no idea if they are a realiable source. I have no doubt that waiting until mid to late January will yield much more supply and better pricing, but for those that have to have one NOW....subtlelaugh.gif

I googled their name and checked out their facebook page and they seem legit. There is a seiko velatura Ive been chasing for awhile and they have it...may try it...Also I'll wait for the pepsi turtle....I just buy a few on my list in the mean time dog smile.gif

No problem Chris! Just making sure everyone gets one who wants one ThumbsUp02.gif

BTW Oscar, watches88 is out of Malaysia too, I ordered mine with EMS, they sent it FedEx International Priority and I had it in three days.

FedEx Tracking information is complete crap though, said it made two stops in Malaysia, went to Taiwan, next to Oakland CA, then back to Taiwan, back to Oakland CA, then on to Portland OR, then all the way back to Japan, back to Portland OR then Gresham OR and finally delivered to me. Somehow I can't imagine FedEx shipping it all over everywhere in three days and still delivering it on time but if it takes the gross national product of a small country in Jet fuel to deliver my watch who am I to argue?

Agreed on the shipping tracking Chris! bamby.gif Hilarious!

Like I said, Watches88 gets huge Kudos from me for excellent communication regarding their stock (including providing a paypal refund almost instantly after communicating they ran out of stock on the pepsi).

These new Turtles from Seiko definitely look great...awesome to have a modern representative of the incredible 6309 on our wrists!

I was reading about that on WUS and I think most are ok. The people who have ordered from the far east are telling the suppliers to check for bezel problems before they send them. I'll let you know in a week how mine comes in..You would think with such a large company like Seiko there wouldn't be these problems.

I think in the past there were such problems at Seiko less frequently.

Awesome Greg...great to hear all markers line up nicely! I have to admit, there seems to be a ton of "worry" out there regarding marker alignment, but BOTH of the models that I've received have been just fine.

Congrats on the new arrival! thumbsup.gif

Looking forward to seeing your pics of this "bracelet" version model (I sure loved my All-Blue model and it was hard to send it back...hoping for a happy ending on my exchange)!

Thanks Chris, I also picked up two 5 ring natos for the watch. 1 black with gold rings and 1 dark grey with gold. Those come Saturday I hope. We are expecting a major storm of 24"of snow so USPS may not make it....BTW congrats on the Broncos win...

Thanks Greg! Sounds like a couple killer Nato combos for your 775.thumbsup.gif I really love this case on Nato/Zulu, so look forward to seeing your pics.

Wow, 24" of snow headed your way...looks like the mild start to winter is getting its revenge!

Thanks for the congrats on the Broncos win!!! That was a seriously stressful game to watch, and the Broncos absolutely need to play better than they did against the Steelers if they want to advance against the Patriots. Should be some great Playoff action this coming weekend with both games!

Cool watch Joe! I have always wanted to try out a Seiko Kinetic, or a Citizen Eco-Drive movement. I hear good things about them both.
