If I recall correctly, one of the reasons for the watch was to impress the partners and clients. Pulling out a nice fountain pen can be a very good way to show your seriousness and sophistication when you are asking someone to sign on the dotted line. I think someone on wus actually makes the housing for some of those great looking pens. I cant get a good looking pen because it would be lost the first day I had it.
