Hi guys,

Has anyone ever come across a Nato type or Zulu strap with properly reinforced eye holes? I bought a new Nato strap last week, but its banjaxed already. The Buckle pin has cut through the eye reinforcing and nearly into the adjacent eyelet. I remember a long time ago seeing a strap like these, but with metal reinforcers on each eyelet.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Regards

Colin

I do recall seeing some like that years ago when they were using canvas, but that was before they started using nylon and "punching" and sealing the the holes with laser!

I have had great luck with the NATO/Zulu straps from Howard at westcoastime(see link on forum) in the U.S and Eddie at http://timefactors.com/  in the UK....both carry a high grade strap that the holes seem to last and the hardware is A+hand6.gif

I've got a 20mm and a 22mm here if you want them. I prefer leather or metal.hand6.gifone came from timefactors and is heavier.

Thanks guys,

I have looked at the heavier version to the one I have, but I wonder if it will just slow down the wear and tear rather than stop it altogether. MAybe my love affair with the Nato strap is destined to be brief after all.

Regards

Colin
