I have a hellova tool collection that go's unused ... But I own a car lot so it go's with the territory ....mostly Craftsman pro's but some Matco and Snap-on also ..... The best part is that they are ALL tax deductions when you own a carlot :D:D  I also have to buy crap like hoists and tire changers and compressors etc. ....... I am obsessive cumpulsive so I wipe the tools off and put them back in such a way I can tell if somebody touched them :shock:

Good for you CJ! another anal retentive on on tool storage. I check my toolbox every day before I leave work. There is a place for everything including all of my screwdrivers. There all numbered with a cutout in 3 seperate drawers. If a tool is missing, nobody leaves until its been returned. If somebody has to borrow a tool, I tell them to make sure to return it to me as soon as there done! My other rule is if I have to borrow a tool myself more than once, I'll go buy the tool. Oh. They are always tax deductible!

Heh, I can't count how many times I have been shocked, that might explain some things...:P  The worst was from a UHF transmitter final amplifier, 48VDC, 15 amps at full power, it was a combination shock from hell and an RF burn.  Next would have been the pre-CBS Fender Bassman I was repairing, some idiot had replaced the 5881 output tubes with 6L6's, burned up all the grid resistors and, unbeknownst to me at the time, the power supply bleeder resistors.  Those old filter caps still held quite a charge #$%@.

I have all the test equipment too, VTVM, digital multimeters, couple of scopes, frequency counter, RF and audio generators, logic probes/pulsers, network cable tester.  The only things I don't have are a spectrum analyzer and a TDM, wish I had the bucks for those but I don't do as much work as I used to with electronics.  Fun toys :D

Cheers,
Griff

Owning my own auto repair, I have a couple hundred grand in Snapon tools and shop equipment (lifts, a/c, diagnostic). My main toolbox is a Snap on Intimidator 2 with all the lockers and workstation. I think I paid my toolmans mortgage for him!mistake.gif I have to admit that my shop isnt very organized.  When I had employees it was, but now its alot for just me to keep up with. The scary thing is I have 2 shops.  One for cars and one for tractors. Iam in the process of adding on in the tractor shop and its a nightmare. At one time there was a couple of paths to walk through. I do keep my tools wiped off though, I hate greasy tools.

This is cool!  You can talk about a little bit of everything on this site. ThumbsUp02.gif   Scott

Heres a pic of my big Snap On Intimidator II tool box and my cart that has my most used tools on.  Cant move the big box around the shop.  This is just the car shop.  Then in the tractor shop I have a whole different set of tools and equipment.
