Received this info in a e-mail this morning....This is what you get when js and Eyal get involved in helping resolve a problem....apparently this member of another forum purchased a original SubAqua meteorite dial watch that had a rusty dial...after months of waiting to receive his prized watch back here's what he received...look closely at the V in the Invicta on the dial....and here is some JS/BS that went alongcoyote2.gif

I am glad to have helped. I know Eyal is also very happy to see how much you love the watch.

I think it was an outstanding gesture for him to do this. For those that don't know... this is not the new Reserve M-SA, this is an original, and they have not been made for over 3 years at this point. When I approached Eyal on Kevins behalf the problem was that the dial had to be completely replaced... and of course there are no more Meteorite dials for the original size (and layout) of the Subaqua.

Eyal commissioned a ONE-OFF Meteorite dial to be made in that older (smaller) size, appointed with the same dial markings and indices as the original. I don't even want to think about how much a one-off piece like this cost. But Eyal was happy to do it, and did so very quickly. It took less than a month for the dial to be cut, and fit into the watch.

When I saw it my jaw dropped. As kevin's picture shows... it is IMO the most outstanding Meteorite dial you can imagine, and THE finest one I have personally seen. The detail is striking.

Enjoy the watch my friend. You went through a lot on this one, and you deserve to enjoy it.

I think what's more interesting might be where this watch came from... this piece may have caused a furor at another forum... if it is the same watch.

Oh the e-mails that I could share........  It is the same watch.   I sold it to Kevin - AKA  Dxomas an Admin at that other watch fora.    I could stir the pot, but I have lost enough time and money on that watch.

I am Glad, that it is finally over, and that Kevin is finally happy with is watch.  Selling a watch to an Admin has to be my "biggest WIS mistake".

I am still not allowed to post there anymore Can't log in to the forums either.  Thanks for posting that Oscar,  I would have never seen it,  I  already heard about it from one of the friends that I have over there.

Reminds me of the famous NVICTA watch of a few years ago.....I imagine that Eyal commissioned this ONE-OFF meteorite dial by finding it in his desk drawer.  The result is typical of Invicta's commitment to quality control and to customer service.

It is one of those things that happens (frequently with Invicta) in which you don't know wheter to laugh or cry!  To paraphrase the Paxman...........INVICTA STILL SUCKS!

Just checked it out, man thats funny. Someone on the thread actually mentioned it in a positive light which befuddles me. Its one thing when you cant keep QC in production line watches, yet another when the CEO of the company requests something and still cant get it right. I would tell Eyal Yoyo about this and not just suck it up if I were the owner.

Just a thought, do you think the person that applied the V did it on purpose and finds it very funny.

While I'm getting as much of a chuckle out of this as the rest of us, anyone care to venture what this unique, 'collectors' item would go for on ebay? subtlelaugh.gif

No..............as I cannot imagine an Invicta, under any circumstances, being considered a collectors Item..................as to "uniqueness", I believe that Invicta manufacturers (and I use the term ever so loosely) too many "unique" items for any single item to be considered out-of-the-norm for them.

According to that thread it seems it was done on purpose by Eyal to create a true one of a kind piece....Hmm I am not sure whether or not that is spin by Eyal or legit....IM a pessimist when it comes to Mr. Eyal Yoyo. As long as the owner of the watch is happy, thats a good thing!

Elmer's, Alpo anyone..........  but I do have to Thank Eyal, ( for providing the regular fodder)

It is sad that it took JimS getting involved to resolve this,  a point of clarification here, I initially  contacted Jim about talking to Eyal, if Jim has forgotten, I can share the e-mail........ and his initial response, if we are going to be Intellectual honest here,  Jim is being a  bit disengenous about how this transpired. It should have never been neccessary for Jim to get involved to remedy a manufacturing defect. Those on high horses.....

Could be spin from either Eyal or the watch's owner.

I seem to remember him making excuses about another screwed up watch he owns.

I could be wrong.

Why would you purposely spell a word wrong??? There are other ways to distinguish a custom watch but this way makes you look like a yoyo....

Yeah, I read that too..................what else are you going to say?.............and it ain't "spin".....it's BULLS**T!

And, BTW, did you notice in the thread that one of the "owners" was reprimanded and got his post deleted?       LMAO!

I cant be blamed for speaking the truth...Im all good there and like being part of it. I have not called anyone there a Liar, chump etc, other than Eyal. I simply am stating that I dont believe his intentions for a second. I think he is full of Poopies...I am glad that the owner of the watch is happy as thats all that matters, not what other people like me think....

Well, perhaps I was projecting my own feelings into the matter but ,quite frankly, if DX is buying Eyal's line of BS that makes him a chump, pure and simple.

Well, it looks like it is going to get ugly,  Wow, I just heard what "Aaron  FURDOG said, how hypocritical"  it is amazing that it is ok to slander me and say that I did'nt do the right thing, after slamming me he says, let's not pour salt in a wound, in fact lets not do this to anyone from here on out.... What do you say?

That it is hypocritical,
Yeah it is ok for Aaron pour Salt,  but lets not let anyone do it anymore now that he is done.......

Someone want to pass the rock salt shotgun shells, I had just had a mutt take a dump.

Well, the good thing is that I will be in Florida next week, perhaps a heart to heart may be a good thing.

It is funny, I guess that Aaron has never heard the term, let sleeping dogs lie.  I guess that they meant untruthful.

Absolutely....  That is why my last postings resulted in attacks from a member whom they rewarded by making a mod.  He actually wanted to argue that a watch produced "exclusively" for Shop being sold in the  Invicta "European" division is somehow ok.  This somehow resulted in my banning I guess.

I guess they did......  I went to log into my account and I was no longer able to.   No explaination, no email, nothing.  I created a different logged in under a anonymous and was able to login.  Noticed the guy who had words with me had been turned into a mod and haven't really felt the need to revisit that forum.  To much sneaky stuff going on.  Didn't like the insult me in private then write posts that make me look like the bad guy stuff that was going on.  After I brought it to the attention of a mod I was told that the certain person had a temper and probably didn't mean what their "private" posts eluded to.  Then they made the dude a mod.  It's laughable.

Apparently stating my (admittedly derogatory)  opinion about a member of the admin team was not appreciated.

Hey...........if it will help, you can call me a chump.............after all, I am a Gator fan.

BTW, I think it is interesting that every time a thread doesn't go their "way", they just simply delete it mistake.gif because, after all, they are the most open and tolerant forum on the net! subtlelaugh.gif

Bottom line, most of the don't know shit about watches...............and, for the record, the chump you called a chump.........is a chump!   And anybody who would refer to Corono Gorda, a known con-artist, as his friend, is either totally naive or a couple of puppies short of a pet store!

While we don't pat ourselves on the back, blustering about how great, honest, open-minded and fair we are (not to mention boasting about our post count "milestones"), I do think we are more informational than BIG & DUMB!

Hey, they are still crying about not being able to put a forum "watch" together.......that's how together they are.

Sorry for the rant, but I have had enough of their ignorant, self-aggrandizing whining and sniveling!
