I just received this fun project watch from Duarte at NorthEast watch works. It started out with a refinished vintage 6309 cool shaped cushion case. Duarte installed a vintage style aftermarket 6105 style dial with black date wheel. The cool hands are from a titanium Samurai, with orange lumed second hand. It also uses a solid black Seiko chapter ring. Duarte also installed a new sapphire crystal. Preassure tested to 150 meters. I put it on a 22mm IWI black rubber deployment dive strap. It turned out to be a very cool package

Whoa!  Very nice!!

Never would have thought to blacken that chapter ring.. really surprized what a big difference it makes.  Much cleaner look w/o that "double" minute track.

I like this one a bunch!
