UPS delivered my Monstrum last night, and i'm pretty pleased overall!!!  To be honest, when I opened the package, I was a little apprehensive due to the sheer size of the thing!!!  My first thoughts were.. holy @#$%, this thing's waay too big...   I've spent 1 night with it so far, and i've actually warmed up to the size a lot.  I actually really like how imposing it looks now!!!

I'm going to wait for a week to review it fully, but so far, I think i'm a happy owner!!!  Don't want to be negative yet, since it's just hit my wrist, but it's currently running like a bat outta hell, it's pretty fast...  But hopefully it'll settle down.  Here's some quick n dirty pics, with a comparison of the Monstrum to an EcoZilla, which is the only watch I have that doesn't make the Monstrum look ridiculously large.

LOVE how the light catches the bezel!!!

Hey dtmbizzle - looks perfect.gif!

My wrist is smaller than yours, and now people clear a path in front of me when I walk in the mall...      subtlelaugh.gifsubtlelaugh.gif it is a tough bugger this one. It will be even more imposing when I attach it to an incoming 4mm mesh, or to the Orsa ss bracelet (the mesh is incoming, the Orsa ss - ??). Mine settled down after 4 days of near constant use and is now at +20 seconds per day.

I haven't seen the Monstrum next to the Ecozilla before - thanks very much for the comparo shots!

I think that pic i snapped is a little decieving.  In person, at most angles, I actually think the Monstrum looks a lot bigger than the 'Zilla.   I think it's the lugs, or something.  They are both very 'substantial' watches!

Either way, for me, the Monstrum fits smaller than it looks.  I dig it so far.

Great shots!

I took both those watches with me to the Islands last week and the Monstrum is by far the more comfortable watch while in the water, and by far the better crystal when underwater.

Cheers

THAT's what i'm curious about!

To be quite honest, at first the 'domage on the MONSTRUM sort of bugged me, i thought it just looked a little overkill.  However, i'm not that well informed on curved/domed glass and divng functionality, so if it really does make it more functional underwater, then that's pretty cool!!  I've warmed up a lot to pretty much every aspect of the Monstrum so far.

Already have some desk diving marks on the clasp tho, dammit!!!!  mistake.gif

The visual difference underwater is like---

Diving without a mask and then putting a mask on, The crystal adds an additional mask visually or like a magnifying glass

I brought 7 watches with me and the Monstrum got the most compliments from others including alot of shop dealers that I visited.

This watch gets the Chickssmile25.gif

kiddin, Im married

The monstrum should be going to Hawaii with me this week too.
